Themed DJ Dance Parties creating sensational buzz for Southern Utah Nightlife.
DJ Spinz and The Desert Pulse have teamed up to raise the bar on Southern Utah Nightlife with sensational fun and excitement with continued themed DJ Dance Parties. The reception has been huge and word is spreading as adults in southern Utah express an eagerness for more engaging entertainment. With two spectacular events (Adult Prom and Masquerade Ball) already creating a significant buzz, the adult only parties are just getting started.
The Masquerade Ball delivered a night to remember with fun dance mixes keeping the approximately 200 attendees on the dance floor making magical memories. The events are created for adults only and offer an opportunity for a couples date, a chance for singles to meet others and for groups of friends to have a night out dancing. Each event provides an occasion for attendees to dress up and strut their stuff to match the fun theme.

With Southern Utah Nightlife options often being ridiculed and the butt of jokes nationwide, the themed DJ Dance Parties aim to change the perception in the community and beyond of what is possible to create. The events are held outside of the normal bar scene and offer a place where people can dress up and go out for a great night of dancing.
“I have been DJing since I was 18,” shares Daniel Knight a.k.a DJ Spinz. “I have been doing teen events, birthdays, corporate events, fundraisers, bar nights and previously at the Georgefest DJ Dance Party. Now, I am starting to host DJ parties catered to adults to provide a place where everyone has a chance to have fun.”
“My goal is to provide a place for couples to actually have a chance to go on a real date. A place for singles to meet others outside of the bar scene. A chance for adults to dress up and go out for a great night of dancing.”
“Southern Utah has had its share of lampooning across the nation with some of its archaic stance on dancing,” states George Scott of The Desert Pulse. “However, much of this has been due to major improper planning and manipulation of others that have held dances in the past. Rather than work with the different ordinances and event stipulations, they have tried to create unnecessary problems resulting in their events getting shut down in multiple cities and even cities that have not had strict codes.”
“Working with DJ Spinz has been a positive experience from the beginning. He runs a clean operation and works hard to make them fun, safe and in agreement with the cities and facilities he operates within.
“We live in a beautiful part of the world,” shares Scott. “However, Southern Utah nightlife options have been a bit stagnant. We are excited to see more options popping up and are thrilled to be able to partner with DJ Spinz and others in creating some of the most exciting nightlife options in the area.”
“A dinner and a movie are okay; but, having events that allow people to engage, interact, create connections with their community and make magical memories is what I get excited to be a part of,” shares Scott. “The Desert Pulse is centered around showcasing the best activities and events in southern Utah that bring people together and forms a community. It makes every bit of sense to not only report on them; but, to use our resources and experience to create them.”
The next themed party coming up is the “Back to 80’s Party” on Saturday, October 7 from 9pm to midnight. The event promises to deliver all the fun and excitement the themed parties have become known for. Adults will be able to come out as couples, singles, or groups and dress up. There will even be a costume contest along with great music to keep the dance floor hopping.
More adult themed parties will follow with a Halloween party, an Singles Night and a 50’s 60’s Rock n Roll Sock Hop. These adult dance parties are raising the bar on Southern Utah Nightlife entertainment options and proving southern Utah knows how to dance.
The public is invited to join the excitement on October 7 in the Ballroom at the Washington City Community Center from 9 pm to midnight.
