Attendees at George Streetfest’s “All-American George” observance will have yet another reason to celebrate: Beginning at 9 p.m., the new “George Dollar Movie at the Electric” will offer hours of fun, family-friendly films in the historic Electric Theater on Tabernacle Street. Sponsored by TDS Telecom, the lineup will include one short feature, followed by a screening of the 1981 Steven Spielberg classic, “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” On hand to welcome the crowd and introduce the films will be critics Adam Mast and Bruce Bennett, well known to locals as the St. George News “Movie Fanatics.”

Tickets to George Dollar Movie will, appropriately, be just one dollar, and can be purchased at The George Store tent on Main Street during Streetfest. All tickets will be collected at the door at 9 p.m.

“George Streetfest excited to offer yet another entertainment option for families attending our monthly community celebration,” said Melynda Thorpe, George Streetfest Founder & Executive Producer. “The Electric Theater Center is one of downtown’s most beautiful venues, and it’s the ideal spot to rest up and relax after enjoying the great food and music and dancing available at Streetfest. Plus, having Adam and Bruce on hand to give their unique perspective on our scheduled film-fare is sure to be a treat for everyone.”
