WASHINGTON, UT–Brigham’s Playhouse, Southern Utah’s most memorable live theater destination, is delighted to announce their latest production, 110 In the Shade. This hot Broadway hit is certain to entertain audience members and runs August 20 through September 17. The cast and crew are excited to bring this long running production to Southern Utah and to provide residents and visitors alike with a wonderful experience in their beautiful air conditioned indoor intimate theater!
110 In The Shade is a musical adaptation of the 1954 play, The Rainmaker. The story centers around Lizzie (Alexa Garcia), a spinster living on a ranch in the southwest desert and is struggling to realize her potential. Everything starts to change when Starbuck (Dale Hoopes), a man claiming to be a rainmaker, comes to town, and promises to bring moisture to the drought-stricken town. In the process, he ends up bringing a lot more than rain to the lives of Lizzie and the people of the town.
Producer for 110 In The Shade is playhouse owner Jamie Young, along with David Huntsman as director. The cast is filled with many familiar faces along with new ones. The show is sure to uplift, inspire, and demonstrate how building confidence in others goes a long way. 110 In The Shade will be showing Thursdays through Saturdays at 7pm and Saturday matinees at 2pm.
Brigham’s Playhouse is located at CottonTown Village in Washington, Utah (just across from Star Nursery on Telegraph Rd., next to Rowley’s Red Barn). This is the third season for the Playhouse, which was founded in 2013 by the Young and Knapp families.
